Las Vegas sets a new Tourism Record for Visitation to the City!

Big news again and the numbers we’ve been waiting for are in.  The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority have officially announced 2016 as another record year for Visitors to the “Entertainment Capital of the World”.

42.9 Million Visitors passed through Las Vegas in 2016; and that beats the old record of 42.3 Million set in 2015.  That’s an increase of 600,000 Visitors over the past year.

One of the largest increased factors is the Convention Market.  Las Vegas celebrated a Record Total of 6.3 Million business travelers in 2016.  Las Vegas can keep attracting these large numbers with improved facilities, new conventions and shows, supported by a base of nearly 150,000 hotel rooms in the city.

Las Vegas has also been recognized with two prestigious Travel Awards.  Trade Show News Network has recognized Las Vegas as the #1 Trade Show Destination in the United States for the 22nd Consecutive year.

The World Travel Awards has recognized Las Vegas as #1 for the 4th straight year.  This is in the category of World’s Leading Meetings and Conference Destination.

Where does the city go from here?  The LVCVA is forecasting 43 Million for 2017.
